Again, here comes the TypeLibrary to the rescue. It contains help context information that specifies not only the name of the help file but also the page that contains the information about the specific function you wonder about. The help information provided by the TypeLibrary isn t supposed to help you out. Instead, it s provided for programming environments: They can pop up the right help file whenever the programmer hits [F1]. Luckily, this help information is available to your scripts, too! Check out the following script. It wants you to type in the exact name of some command. This time, it won t be enough to just specify part of the name. Modern low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks are being constructed now that will begin to reach their service potential in the next few years. Modern LEOs have greatly changed since the first communications satellite, Telstar, which was launched in the early 1960s. Telstar was basically a silver balloon that reflected microwave signals back to Earth, but was significant at the time because it did so from a low, rather than geosynchronous (that is, completing one revolution in the same time that the Earth completes one rotation), orbit. Besides extending basic voice service to new customers, LEOs can offer advanced services, such as Internet access and video. LEO systems use the same interface technologies as today s digital wireless networks. Some use code division multiple access (CDMA) technology, while others employ a variation on time division multiple access (TDMA) technology. CDMA and TDMA are discussed in more detail later in this chapter. Medium Earth orbit satellite systems, which begin at an altitude of about 12,000 kilometers, also can be used for communication, but to date, these systems have mostly been devoted to use by weather satellites.
